"Safety is No Accident" theme marks the 27th annual countywide safety seminar this year. The County believes that promoting healthier lifestyles and a wellness-based workforce translates to safer workplaces and increased employee morale and productivity.
Event attendees who are Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs), and Registered Environmental Health Specialists (REHSs) are eligible to receive five contact hours of continuing education by OSEC, an approved California Board of Registered Nursing Continuing Education Provider (CEP), Provider #14194.

How to register
You must obtain your immediate supervisor’s approval to attend. This Event is OPEN for current Santa Clara County employees only!
Once registered, you cannot go back to make changes to your selections. You may register only ONCE, please. Let your supervisor know at least 24 hours ahead of time in writing if you cannot attend on the day of the seminar. S/he may send a replacement in your place. OSEC retains the right to make edits to the registration database to ensure that all eligible County employees pre-approved to attend can do so.
Use your County contact information to register, e.g., county email address, telephone number, department. Enter your email address completely. Make sure you have all required details ready before clicking the "Register" button. You have 20 minutes to complete registration.

Note that the keynote speech will be held in the 2nd floor Elizabeth Hangs Theater at 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
There are 36 concurrent breakout sessions to take place during three different time slots: at 10:45 a.m., at 1:45 p.m. and at 3 p.m. Each breakout session is one hour long in length.

Keynote Speaker: Gerry Preciado, JD "Public Entity Leadership in the New Millenium and Beyond"
Keynote address followed by 36 breakout sessions in three concurrent time slots (@ 10:45 a.m., @1:45 p.m. and @ 3 p.m. presented by note-able and outstanding speakers. There are 12 concurrent workshops scheduled during each of the three 1-hour slots.
